Class Name: Literature – Grade 1/2
This week’s focus: Thailand
To be completed this week: Thailand
In your Adventure Journal, on a clean page, create a title page for Thailand. Colour the map and flag attached, and write THAILAND in bold letters. Maybe add one landscape idea that you spy from the Maps page 54-55 to your map? Will it be the Doi Inthanon in the northwest, or some rice fields or a waterfall?
On the next page, write a sentence about our book today, Hush! So many animals in Thailand! Was there one in the book or from the Maps book that fascinated you? Write about it! What is a lullaby? What was the humour in the book? Create one sentence about something you remember from the book or our lesson.

ENRICHMENT – Extra resources for children and families who desire more
There are several BBC videos online about the water buffalo (an animal known for its tremendous strength, and intelligence), the flying dragon lizard (an extraordinary reptile), and the bumblebee bat (the tiniest mammal). All these amazing creatures are found in Thailand. If you are interested and need the links, let me know.
Experiment with some Thai Cuisine this week!
