This week’s focus: The Story Chart and Images

In preparation for Schole support class:

Read from 100 Great Short Stories – The Devil and Tom Walker on page 14, 2 different times this week. Fill in a story chart found in the Resource section under Reading.
The Art of Poetry – Revisit the poems and the activity section (page 11) in Chapter 1 – Images. Read activities 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 or 9. Choose one to complete and share at our next class on Oct. 8. If you have a favourite poem from the Chapter 1 of Images, you could recopy it into your commonplace book.
As you are able begin reading The Adventures of Huck Finn. This week, I would suggest Chapter 6-18.
In your general reading, whether for schole or pleasure, as you come across quotes or inspiration, don’t forget to record them in your commonplace notebook. Leave the first two pages blank to become a Table of Contents at a later date.

    To be completed this week:
Please send me one story chart completed before October 2nd. You can choose to submit from either of short stories read so far. I recognize that Ms. Monica or Ms. Annemarie require submissions as well. When you send it to me, I will ensure that your assigned teacher will get it.
