This week’s focus: JapanTo be completed this week:
We are exploring a new country. The country of Japan!
On the next clean page of your Adventure journal create a title page for Japan. Cut and colour the map from the attached pages, colour the flag and label it JAPAN.
In addition to the title page, create one more journal entry. Possibilities include copying the following sentence:
*An archipelago is a chain of islands. Japan has over 6000 islands. OR
*Have your child retell the story of Chibi in the book Crow Boy. Moral lesson is that everyone, no matter how they look or what their abilities are, has value. Also, that kindness goes a long way and has power.
*Attached in the Japan section, there is the Japanese lettering for crow boy if your son or daughter would like to copy it into his/her journal, with the illustrations.Writing with Ease – Week 8

Are there any icons on page 56-57 that your child is curious about? Do a little more wondering and noticing? Maybe a little research?
