Class Name Well Ordered Language 3 A/B
This week’s focus: WOL 3B Chapter 7 – Verbals – Review and Chapter 8 – Types of sentences
In preparation for Schole support class: This lesson is about Verbals—this week it’s a review. We went over Infinitives last week. Infinitives are made up of two words: a particle and the verb. The words together function as a noun, an adjective, or an adverb.
Class before we discussed participles which are forms of verbs that can function as adjective. When a verb functions as another part of speech it is called a verbal. There are three kinds of verbals: participles, gerunds, and infinitives which can function as nouns, adjectives, or adverbs.
Please let me know if you have any questions on verbals…. We can go over some of A, B, or C if you have questions.
We can start on Chapter 8 if there are not too many issues with verbals. Chapter 8 is about all types of sentences. It will be the last chapter we work on for book 3B.
To be completed this week: Complete the above reading and Lesson to Learn A on pages 124-125, B 126-127, C 128-129.
