This week’s focus: Writing & Rhetoric 7 Lesson 1
In preparation for Schole support class: This is our first lesson. We will talk about Encomium and Vituperation. Encomium is warm, glowing praise about a specific person or thing. Vituperation is condemnation of a specific person or thing, and it, too, uses evidence to support its negative point of view.
To be completed this week: Lesson 1: Read pages 1-5 and complete Tell It Back before class.

THIS MONTH’S ASSIGNMENT FOR SUBMISSION:
From Lesson 1: submit either an encomium or a vituperation in writing on a subject of your choosing. Topics might include an animal, a building, a food, flavor of ice cream, or an electronic device.
Write in a paragraph of 4-6 sentences.
Please include your name on your writing.
DUE by September 30: Encomium or Vituperation on chosen subject
