This week’s focus: Chapter 4 PREDICATE VERBS AND DIRECT OBJECTS
In preparation for Schole support class:
Listen to the song VERBS AND HELPING VERBS (until you are singing it in your head…)
Read pages 65-71
This is the week when the use of the script, rulers for straight lines, and asking the right questions of adverbs, verbs, and now direct objects comes into play.
Please make cheat sheets for this to learn it well. I will see if I can make some too.
To be completed this week:
Pages 72-75 BEFORE zoom* (Mon-Tuesday)
Pages 76-77 discussed IN ZOOM* (Wednesday)
Pages 78-79 after zoom* (Thursday-Friday)
For further daily reinforcement, I’d highly suggest breaking this up into smaller units to get more days of shorter practice.
1. Do every second question of a two page spread—including the analysis and diagramming.
The FOLLOWING week do the other questions.
2. OR, do all the questions of the analysis of a two page spread. And then the following week, review the question and do the diagramming.
