This week’s focus: WOL 3B Chapter 6– Verbals – Infinitives Class
In preparation for Schole support class: This lesson is about Verbals—this week it’s Infinitives. Infinitives are made up of two words: a particle and the verb. The words together function as a noun, an adjective, or an adverb.
Last class we discussed participles which are forms of verbs that can function as adjective. When a verb functions as another part of speech it is called a verbal
There are three kinds of verbals: participles, gerunds, and infinitives which can function as nouns, adjectives, or adverbs.
Infinitives usually start with to.
For example: “To construct is the goal of every young engineer.”
